My First Magnolia

Here is my very first Magnolia :o) I'm pleased with her but need some more ideas! Will have to go rooting round some Magnolia blogs for inspiration I think! She's coloured with Promarkers and the papers are K&Company.

Meljen's Birds

How gorgeous are these birds?! They are from Meljen's designs - I wanted to enter her Seeing Spots competition so used a pink spotty paper background from my Indian Summer range by Paper Pad. Have been getting a bit bored of the usual square shape so thought a half circle makes it a bit more exciting. The birds have been coloured with promarkers and their wings have been glittered for a bit of sparkle.
Hope you like!

Dandelion Polka Dots

Was in serious need for some inspiration and have finally come up with this. It's not my usual style but was fun to make and I'm quite pleased with it. The dandelions are Penny Black and the polka dotty papers are left overs in my stash. The green polka dots are My Mind's Eye but I can't remember where the multi-coloured dots came from.

The background of the dandelions has been done with distress inks and I've embossed the whole image with tropic lustre to give it a nice sheen.

Origami Butterflies

I wanted to use this beautiful flowery background image that I have on one of my craft CDs and thought origami butterflies would set it off perfectly. To make the butterflies I used normal double sided patterned paper and folded up. I curled some wire and stuck on for the antenas!

Origami Fish

I printed off a blue and white background from my home computer and hand made these blue origami fish for a fun and unusual card. I've left the sentiment blank until I decide who to give it to!

Pollycraft Birds

I created this card using K&Company bright papers - they were perfect in a sunshiney yellow, Martha Stewart punches and Pollycraft digi bird stamp. The flowers were made with punches and layering. As always, I've added a bit of sparkle - this time to the birds' wings and their tails. I haven't used a Pollycraft image before but I liked it so much I've ordered one! I've left off a sentiment for now as I'm not sure who I'll send it to yet.

Dandelion Stripes

So my crafty day is just about over as I reeeally need to go and get ready for tonight. Am now running late but at least this card is finished!

I really wanted to enter the Penny Black competition and have been desperately trying to come up with some new ideas because I only own 1 stamp! - (fortunately it is Penny Black!) Luckily the Saturday Sketch challenge came to my rescue with some inspiration on layout and Polka Doodles monochromatic theme made me think of green!

It was created using distress inks and stamping a Penny Black stamp in the circle. This was then embossed. The stripes in the background are My Mind's Eye papers and a Martha Stewart punch was used across the middle.
